Foam intended for children is judged first on what is in it and second on how it performs. Our play mats are premium XPE foam with a PE film backing: odourless, non-toxic, and BPA free, with a closed cell surface that spills sit on top of rather than soak into. That last point is what keeps a mat hygienic through actual use rather than only on the day it arrives.
Cushioning at 6 mm is enough to take the impact out of a fall onto a hard floor without making the surface unstable to crawl or walk on. Available in 120 x 150 cm, 150 x 180 cm, and 150 x 200 cm, the mats fold flat in about three seconds and store against a wall, which is the practical difference against a roll-up mat that has to be wrestled back into shape every time.
