Shock Pad
Our shock pad is a chemically cross-linked polyethylene foam designed as the underlay for artificial turf installations. It combines low moisture permeability with high buoyancy, delivering reliable shock absorption and improved ball rebound on synthetic sports fields. The closed-cell structure is waterproof, resists mould and bacteria, and drains well between layers. Sheets can be sized to project dimensions to cut waste and installation time, and a standard field can typically be laid in a single day.

Common questions about Shock Pad
What does a shock pad do under artificial turf?
It provides the controlled energy return and impact attenuation the surface needs, so the turf carpet itself does not have to. Because it is a separate closed-cell XPE layer, it stays in place when the carpet is replaced.
Can it be reused when the turf is replaced?
Yes, and that is a large part of its value. Service life extends across multiple carpet replacements, so the pad is amortised over several turf cycles rather than one.
How long does installation take?
A standard field is typically laid in about a day. Sizing is customised to the field dimensions before it ships, so there is minimal cutting on site.
