Sport and leisure products made from cross-linked polyethylene foam succeed or fail on two properties: consistent cushioning that does not compress permanently, and a closed cell structure that keeps water out. A mat that absorbs water gets heavy, gets cold, grows things, and delaminates. Closed-cell XPE simply does not take water on, which is why it outlasts the open-cell alternatives across camping, water leisure, and pitch construction.
Density and construction do the rest. A camping mat needs to be light and packable, so it runs low density with an aluminium film backing to reflect body heat off the ground. A floating mat carries adult weight on water, so it is built as a three-layer tear-proof laminate rather than a single slab. A shock pad under artificial turf has to deliver measured energy return for years and survive the carpet being replaced over it.
We supply this range on a B2B and OEM basis, with sizes, colours, and printing customised to the buyer. Certifications including SGS, CE, and REACH are held where the product and destination market require them.
