XPE Camping Mat
Our camping mat is a foldable waterproof foam mat built for the outdoors. The closed-cell foam blocks ground temperature and resists moisture, while the aluminium film backing reflects radiant heat back to the user. The egg-slot folding pattern improves air circulation between body and mat, and the compact folded size makes it easy to carry on hikes, beach trips, or to and from yoga class. The material stays flexible down to -50°C and is non-toxic and non-absorbent.

How compact does the camping mat pack down?
From 183 x 56 x 1.8 cm expanded to 56 x 14 x 14 cm folded, at 420 g. It folds in a concertina rather than rolling, so it packs flat against a pack rather than as a cylinder.
How cold can it be used in?
It retains its physical properties down to -50 degrees C. The closed-cell foam does not absorb ground moisture, which is what actually keeps you warm: a wet mat conducts heat away no matter how thick it is.
What does the aluminium film backing do?
It reflects body heat back up rather than letting it sink into the ground, and it adds a moisture barrier on the ground-facing side.
